Clinics and Masterclasses

Looking for a guest clinician for your music program or professional development? I would love to help! I am available to teach classes on a variety of topics in music or to teach a masterclass on any repertoire you or your students need help with.

Everything you need to know

    • A fun and interactive learning experience. Your students will have many chances to try and apply the information presented during the clinic.

    • A PowerPoint and/or handout. This will be given to you and your students to allow for review and continued application of the information presented.

    • Here are presentations I have done before but don’t hesitate to reach out if you have a specific topic you would like me to talk about.

      • Four-Mallet Technique 101

      • 10 Tips to Teach and Engage Middle School Percussionists

      • How to Practice like a Pro

    • A masterclass is a great opportunity to have your students gain feedback on the repertoire they are working on. This can include solo, chamber, or large ensemble repertoire! For example, if you have students preparing for All-District, All-State, or collegiate auditions a masterclass would be a great opportunity!

    • This is a very flexible experience, so you can have one piece play, multiple soloists play, or a combo.

  • Thanks to the generosity of some awesome organizations including Vic Firth, Zildjian, Wildlight Publications, and Radford University, I am able to bring goodies for you and your students. This can include lanyards, posters, stickers, and more!

  • 60-minute session - $125

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have budgetary constraints. The pricing is flexible to fit the needs of the program.

Testimonials

  • “My students loved having Will come to our band room and help them improve their technique and ensemble music! His engaging pedagogy and energetic teaching really helped them improve, and he really got them thinking about their musicianship in new, fresh ways. I will be asking Will to come back and work with my students again soon!”
